Let's Have Some Fun This Beat Is Sick

April 2nd 2009
Topshop New York
It's. Really. Going. Down.

I'm for sure going to look out for the new store at Broadway & Broome when I go to New York this summer. The opening day the lucky people that make their way there get complimentary beauty treatments, treats, and pretty much will be part of a huge PARTY! Like that weird girl from this cycles ANTM would say: Jealous.

It'll have the same look as the Oxford Circus location in London:
Yup that's exactly what will happen there as well. Except I'd imagine New Yawkers won't be as patient.
The NY flagship store that costs $20 million, will be opened by Sir Philip Green and Kate Moss herself! What of RECESSION makes these guys think multimillion dollar store in Manhattan?

"With all the financial jiggery-pokery over now, we're back to the era of the merchants and I really believe that now more than ever it's about content. We're not in Armageddon but we're all just having to work harder!" - Sir Philip Green
Hedonism at it's finest.

Filter That, Baby Bumb That Track

...THEY'RE ......BAaaAaaaCK!!

ahh! I can finally got my Gossip Girl fix! & dayum, I forgot what a good looking cast this is! But some serious things need to happen with this show:
  1. Serena & Dan had BEST NOT be getting back together! I saw some signs I was not too happy with. That is over. They tried. Numerous times in fact. & let's not forget one of the reasons why they broke up in the first place....
  2. That mysterious sibling! He/She needs to show face pronto! Time to add some controversy! What is a Rufus/Lily child like...hmmm
  3. Georgina needs to hurry up and appear as well, we've all seen the spoilers, we know you show up again
  4. Definitely liking real-life couple Leighton/Sebastian together, but we gotta see some Blair/Chuck drah-mah!
  5. Lastly, glad to see little J is looking slightly more human these days and back to normal. Keep this going and please don't randomly introduce the poor girl to drugs/prostitution/alcohol abuse of any kind! In fact get back to her love or fashion!
  6. Bored with Nate & Vanessa. Their relations need to end. Any more females on the show Nate hasn't been with? Maybe throw hmm with that ment-hor Ms. Carr

To see more of this Rolling Stone photo spread go HERE. There's a few more interesting
ones of Blair & Serena, that's for sure!

Young Money Millionaire

Freida Pinto
Complex Magazine

"I got into modeling for the visibility factor"

"We have the voluptuous, full-figured woman thing. People say I need to get a boob job, but I’m just comfortable the way I am."

"Three or four years back, I was auditioning for a film and I met this man who was like, “We can be good friends,” with a twinkle in his eye. I knew where that was coming from, and it didn’t feel right."

"Back in college, if boys did the most stupid thing, like compose a silly song, I’d listen. It could be something really stupid, like a rap for all I care."

Beautiful, REAL, and fun, not taking the fame too seriously. Not trying to get all men's magazine....y, but the girl's got it. And is clearly using it. Plus she seems to be grabbing her fashion opportunities left and right (see her at Chanel FW09? Stunning). Loves it.

HA Good One, Your 1st Good One In Awhile...

Okay, so I was shopping online at Net-A-Porter, (you know channeling my inner rich model with money and time to spare) when I decided, pretty good everything I want. Let's check out. In one online shopping spree at, say, Forever21, Aldo, or American Apparel my total usually reaches like $400 - $600 and let me tell you, I don't hold back. But this total actually shocked me, mainly because I figured I was even showing restraint! But before I reveal the total.... let me show you my (dream) purchases!
First up were these Balmain Fringed Leather Boots. I think they are amazing and at $1025 are ridiculously pricey. Knockoffs are flying off the shelves at around $200. However, there's just something about having the original that my inner rich girl reasons is a good investment.

Spring is just weeks away and I couldn't help myself going through the bathing suits! This one is gorgeous, called 'Glass Print Bikini' (though I get more of an edgy tribal feel), and is by Matthew Williamson. Beachwear for sure, just lounging around! At $265 it also seems (somewhat) obtainable.....okay I know we're in a recession! Must. Stop. Damn Shopoholic has me thinking this is 'obtainable'!

Then there was the beautiful Oscar de la Renta Silk Skirt that's $1, 290. The uniform print and unique structure give it sophistication but with some edgy shoes and chic blazer I could work it more boho-rocker. Ah....versatile. But let me show you the importance of STYLING. On the site the skirt looks like this:

Alright, not bad. Showcasing the skirt with a white shirt, but here it looked like nothing special to me. Now look at how it was styled on the runway:

Ahhh! Much better! This picture made me fall in love with the skirt and I think did the skirt more justice.
This is one HOT leather biker jacket. Rick Owens is a genius. I really want a white one, it would have a better impact. The black is LUXE none the less. Price Tag: $2, 900. Damn the most expensive thing on my list.

Miu Miu my love! This iconic Coffer Bag and a 2.55 Chanel bag are all I need. It looks gorgeous and the colour would work with anything. Plus I'm really liking bags with the normal shoulder strap AND the messenger length strap.
And lastly, this blogger favorite, which has grown on me to the point of near obsession. I NEED this in my life. Sure I would only be able to wear it in the city and not the 'burbs and my mom would die if she found out I paid that much for what she would believe to be a holey sweater, but WHATEVER. Needs to be MINE! The Alexander Wang Oversized Metallic Sweater Dress added what I initially thought would be a moderate $595. Oh yeah, can I add it is one size fits all...hmmm..thought it was kinda interesting, the site says if "doesn't fit" you can return it free of charge.

But anyway......it's time to reveal the total....

...

....

'duties' and taxes added...

....

..

$8,712.60!!
Yikes! Luckily my alter ego has more money than she knows what to do with and I have to say, her purchases are SICK!
