It's What We're All About, It's What We Live For, C'mon and Shout it Out

Grunge.
Leather.
Feathers.
Fringe.
Fur.
Studs.
Grey.
Black.
Everything I am into this fall exemplified by Kate Lanphear, style director of Elle Mgazine US.
This is how Kate does:
Spring"I know it's so terribly boring. But I take my appreciation for tees to whole new heights and spend a small fortune on James Perse and Neal Sperling. Then, I just throw on an old Dior Homme blazer and the highest heels I can find."

Summer
"I have zero control. I couldn't pay my rent this summer because I had to have the Balenciaga gladiators in every color available."

Fall
"You know, I am obsessed with a sexy Goth look, but gosh it'd be torture with global warming, non? Not sure we'll be seeing too much of it on the runways. "

Winter
Think Alexander Wang Fall 08:
"Anything and everything gray cashmere. My fave is an old Alexander Wang super-low V-neck."

Get the look (pardon the blurriness):1. dress: foley & corinna ombre fringe dress $495 2. jeans: current/elliott the boyfriend cropped jean $229 3. so low latex leggings $62 4. L.A.M.B. clutch $425 5. Aldo High Heeled Boots (Taggart) $160 6. Aldo Studded Boots (Camenisch) $140 7. Aldo Studded Sandle (Soroa) $110
8. BDG Shawl Collar Cardigan $48 9. Kamchi Ruffle top $42 11. Bad Gal Lash Mascara $9

Chanel Iman Tackles High Fashion

Chanel Iman Pop Magazine
Loving this editorial, but not sure how I feel about Chanel Iman nude....hmm. I definitely see her as a high fashion model strictly, I don't know she'll be able to walk the Vicky's Secret runways anytime soon.

How to ROCK FALL '08

That's right, it's getting chilly out there
and I swear I saw snow this evening!
This post may be just for myself, but I hope you enjoy it too!
Let this post inspire you and make you go shopping!

Preppy comfy chic.
As grungy as Blair Waldorf gets.
Love the layers, tight fits, and heavy neck accessories.
Black tights are not going anywhere!
Love them love them, also get a dark Grey color if possible (more of a mental note).
Get some thicker long sweaters and shirts to where over them.

Also, note to self, drop the ginormous Elle and V and get to the library.
Get comfortable and read a few REAL books this winter

...then get the Harper's with Angelina Jolie on the cover.

Absolutely in love with the folk rocker looks on the runway!
Make it more grunge with tweed wide leg pants, layered necklaces and messy hair.

But skinnies forever! I still need a dark Grey one and black ones. Time to retire all my brightly co colored ones for awhile. Look for knee highs (or higher..ooo riskay!) to compliment skinnies.

These jackets have really interesting shapes and are defiantly eye catching!
Too bad, living in Canada I have about three good coats already,
including a more military pirate style one from Guess.

To dress it up a little this fall, I love the above looks.
The Lanvin shirt and necklace is gorgeous, and the blue Valentino dress is very versatile. I might try to do a similar look without tights, but it'll still work with tights, boots and a leather jacket.
By far the Requiem look on the right is my favourite though. The entire outfit is posh yet relaxed and paired nicely with simply hair and dark makeup.

These three gowns are simply stunning.
Can't even explain.

The perfect clean face.

I am absolutely in love (last time I say it promise) with the makeup shown in Nina Ricci and Lanvin. Or maybe these models just pull it off really well...boo. I'll try them anyways.

As for the fall hair trends on the runway, the above looks are super cute if only styled exactly as shown! As for below........

let's keep them on the runway.

If I were to get my hands on this Prada bag my life would be complete.
Or at least, I wouldn't want any other bag this fall. You don't even want to know who was holding it and HAD to be cropped out of the photo.
Hint: this Disney darling's name rhymes with Bashley Bisdale.

Most of All....

Have fun Chillin!
