1. Hot Swimwear

Montreal based swimwear line Aqualara is one of the best swimwear lines I've ever seen. These are my two favourite looks during Montreal Fashion Week SS06. I am in love with this super sexy Canadian brand and am going to try REAL HARD to find a suit from this line.
2. The Haircut
I plan on cutting my hair like the above picture in a couple of weeks. I've had bangs before, but they have now grown out and are a bit below my cheekbones. My layers are starting to grow out as well, so my hair is pretty much a mess right now, I'm ready for this cut!

3. Hair and Makeup
It's damn hot in the summer, and if your city is going through a heat wave like mine, you really don't feel like blow drying, flat ironing, or putting on makeup. My suggestion is to keep things natural an light in the summer. If you have straight hair, don't bother with curlers, just scrunch it up when it's wet with a bit of mousse and hope for the best. If you have curly hair, or thick coarse hair, let it loose! Summertime is great for makeup because you can experiment with any colour, pink, yellow, green, ANYTHING! Or you have the option of doing smouldering or smoking eyes too.

3. The Dress
There's always a party to attend in the summer where you need a cute summer dress, and ever since I finished exams two months ago, I've been looking for it. I'm not expecting Gucci, but one that stands out, is dressy but is also still comfortable and weather appropriate.

4. The Bag
I usually see people with big tote bags and over sized canvas bags in the summer, which are great for everyday activities or going to the beach, but I also feel like getting a big metallic bag such as this Burberry one. Metallic is everywhere in golds and silvers, but a deep colour like this is what I'm going for, a more subtle tone.
5. The Outfits
Instead of doing simple wife beaters and denim short shorts, I plan on being a bit dressy casual this summer. I just hope I can keep it up. Longer pleated shorts, ankle boots, gladiator sandals, casual tanks and tees, leggings and neck scarves are my summer staples. The above look I think is a really cute L.A.M.B. ensemble, and is hot daytime look. The below picture is more night time. This girl just has that "Oh were you talking? I was too busy looking glamorous" look that works for the outfit.
And last but Most Importantly...
6. Chill
Look good this summer, but don't forget to just have fun. Summer's short so I'm going to go to the beach as much as possible, hang out with friends, listen to my favourite music, and eat lots of good FOOD! Have a fun summer everybody!
