Oh How We Care!

The 21st Annual FASHION CARES event went down last week, and if you are a rich fashionista in the Toronto area, chances are, you were there.
This gala was in support of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT), with the goal of building awareness of HIV/AIDS and raising funds for ACT.

Its definitely a one of a kind event that brings out the craziest fashion, glamorous trannies, and beautiful models!
What I'm NOT in favour of is the $1000 tickets! GEEZ! For that kinda money I better be able to choose and outfit right off the runway!

I really wish I could have gone, but my friend was a volunteer for the event and told me all about it! The 90 minute show started at 10:00pm and apparently was frEEzing because they chose a new outdoor venue this year. Auctioning and gallery hunting in Canadian spring weather..not fun.

And the Fashion event of the year was missing one thing...FASHION! The fashion show was replaced with mundane performances by the PussycatDolls, Mya and Kelly Rowland 9love Kelly's outfit by the way). The only one who actually tore it up was Miss Dita Von Tesse, who wore a long diamond gown! Her little martini glass striptease was exactly the kind of show the audience expected to see. They didn't stick around for much else though, "everyone left early" my friend tells me. Couldn't host Jay Manuel hold their attention? I'd stick around just for the pictures I'd score after the show!

I really hope next year get better reviews and that I get a chance to actually go!
